The historic heart of Chania, Old Town encircles the Old Venetian Harbour, where a lively stretch of al fresco restaurants and cafes line the water.

 

The Venetian-built Firka Fortress overlooks the harbor. Inland, a labyrinth of streets and winding alleys are home to landmarks like a covered municipal market and the Archaeological Museum of Chania, which displays vases and jewelry from ancient Chania tombs.
